MaineHealthInsuranceBrokers.com is a registered trade name of Gain Financial Services, Inc., which has been in the insurance business since 2003.
Maine Health Insurance Brokers is served by brokers who are licensed in Maine and who live and work here. That isn’t a technicality. Maine’s rules are genuinely different, so it’s another great reason to work with local agents.
Why a Maine licensed broker matters here
For 2027 there are three carriers selling individual coverage in Maine: Anthem, Harvard Pilgrim and Community Health Options. That’s a small enough market that a broker can actually know all of it, county by county, instead of guessing.
Maine merged its individual and small group markets in 2023, which changes how a small group quote behaves. We explain that on the fully insured page.
On the Medicare side, a Maine policyholder who has kept continuous coverage can move to a Medicare Supplement plan with the same or lesser benefits at any time, with no medical underwriting. Most states have nothing like it, and the full rules are on our Maine switching rules page.
What we do
We place fully insured small group, level funded and PEO services coverage for Maine employers, plus Medicare and under 65 individual and family plans, along with dental, vision, life and disability.
Employer clients get Mineral, the HR compliance platform we provide through Gain Financial Services, Inc., with an employee handbook builder and policy library, live HR advisors, and alerts when employment law changes.
How we work with you
The first meeting is a conversation, not a presentation. We ask what you have now, what it costs, who’s on it and what’s actually bothering you about it. Then we go get real numbers.
When we bring options back, we say which one we’d choose and why, and what the tradeoff is. Every option has one.
After you enroll, we’re the ones you call. Billing corrections, adds and terminations, a claim that processed wrong, a renewal that doesn’t look right.
What we won’t do
We won’t pressure you. There’s no follow up campaign designed to wear you down, and if the right answer is to keep the plan you have, that’s what we’ll tell you.
We won’t charge you for our time. You don’t pay Maine Health Insurance Brokers anything.
We won’t push one carrier because it suits us. We’re independent, and with three individual carriers in this state there’s no reason to pretend the market is smaller than it is.
And we won’t quote you something we don’t understand. If a Maine rule needs checking, we’ll say so and go check it.
